ISO 11452-8: Immunity to magnetic fields

n  General requirement

Ø  Testing Frequency: 15Hz – 150KHz

Ø  Testing Field strength : 1000A/m

n  Magnetic field generating system capacity for magnetic fields

Two different types of coils are supported by both systems:

n   Radiating Loop according MIL 461 (standard) Recommended most often referenced test method and highest field strength

n   Helmholtz Coil Alternative method

n   Typically radiating loops cover a very large field strength. Radiating loops can be used for every DUT size.

n   If Helmholtz Coils are used the coil size determines the DUT size, but, with a given amplifier much lower field strengths are possible.
